Jim Robinson, journalist for the national newspaper Luxembourg Times, who was there, shares in this article the ideas and solutions that arose during the debate that was held concerning privacy, personal data and AI in the age of GDPR.
Starting with the statement that banks are “really, really afraid” of the European Union’s imminent General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) which will come into force on the 25th of May, Jim Robinson shares the views of the four panellists who participated in the debate : Adina Grigoriu, Emilie Prodent Pindor, senior manager at KPMG, Audrey Baverel, founder and chief executive at Happen Consult and Ghela Boskovich, head of fintech and regtech partnerships at Startupbootcamp.
Extract of Adina’s view on the matter :
“It’s also a matter of responsibility, from the client’s side and the producer’s side, to give the right information, and maybe AI could help there as well. One of the uses of this technology is to help you read complex documents and go through thousands of pages of stuff and point out the important thing for you.”
